Job search engines can
easily become a job hunter’s best friend, listing thousands of potential jobs
in one search. However, they can just as easily become a horrible nightmare as
a job seeker might waste hours navigating through all the
different listings to find the ones that fit his or her needs. Granted.com
hopes to change this with their website. When searching for jobs with Granted.com,
you do not waste time filling out extensive information about yourself.
Instead, you are initially asked only two things: the job you are interested in
finding and where you want to work. Even here you can be as vague or as
specific as you like. Once the listings are brought to your screen you can
continue search through all the listings or you can narrow the search by
clicking different suggestions on the left-hand side. For example, you can search
what sort of work (full-time, part-time, internship), specify a location, and
even what company you would like to work for. If you are completely unsure of
what you would like to do, you can also click the browse icon at the bottom of
the home page.
While you do not have to
be a member to use the site, you must sign up if you wish to post you resume or
receive emails on job postings. Membership is free. To start your job search,
visit www.granted.com.
