Fashion Friday: Spring Workwear

For the ladies:

When wearing bright colors or trendy floral tops, make sure to pair them with a muted basic like this khaki shift dress.  The rest of your accessories should be professional as well - understated earrings, a watch, and a belt over the top of the cardigan to streamline the look.  A cute spring bag is always a do, but look for one that has structure to keep with the outfit's polish (and to hold your massive planner!).


For guys:

These looks from Banana Republic demonstrate the same idea - definitely go for fun colors on top but balance them with toned-down pants to make them workable in a high-stress meeting.  A little extra ironing also couldn't hurt! ;)
